Thank you, Nova Scotia!
I just got back from a wonderful six days in Nova Scotia, where I was part of the “Word on the Street” festivities. What a great place. I’ve always loved Nova Scotia, and don’t get to visit often enough (although I’m happy to report I’ll be back there in the spring, promoting the new book, THE EMPTY ROOM).
Thought I’d share some photos with you. . .

Dinner with Ron Davis (my Best Beloved) Valerie Compton, Chantal Vyleta, Marina Endicott,(me) and Dan Vyleta
I’ve got a couple more I’ll post soon, including a sort of action shot with David Adams Richards, taken while he was telling a story about a Dutch sailor climbing up to the highest of crow’s nests, with a little girl. Scary and wonderful.
More to come . . . (And as promised, here are the more . . . ):

David Adams Richards tells a tall tale about ships to Marina Endicott and me. (He’s as good a story-teller in person as he is on the page!)
Wonderful memories! Thanks everyone, for making me feel so welcome.
Lauren, looks like you had a wonderful time in Nova Scotia. While it’s obvious that your’e well suited for your career as an author, you seem to have a knack for tourism promotion too! I’m sure your readership is growing by leaps and bounds, which is well deserved. Congrats on the Giller long-list, and best wishes for next steps.
Thanks, Rebecca. I did have a wonderful time, and promoting Nova Scotia is easy! Your good wishes are most appreciated.
Friggin love your site….
Aren’t you kind. Steve Bennet at Authorbytes.com designed it. He’s a real dream to work with.
