Lakefield Literary Festival
I’m delighted to be appearing this Saturday, July 13, at the Lakefield Literary Festival in Ontario. You can find the details here, if you’re in the neighborhood! Canadian literary giant Douglas Gibson (editor of such notables as Alice Munro and Margaret Atwood and Mavis Gallant) will be hosting the event and I’ll be sharing the stage with Kathleen Winter and Linda Spalding. I think it’s going to be wonderful fun.
And, if you can make it, don’t miss readings by Thomas King, Lee Maracle and Drew Hayden Taylor on Friday night. I’ll be in the audience, since I’m a huge fan of their work.
Hope to see some of you there!
Sounds like a fun literary festival with a great line-up. Wish I could be there.
Well, maybe I’ll see you in Winnipeg? Or Kingston? Or Toronto? I’ll be at festivals in those cities in the fall.
Lauren, I was in the audience for your reading last night in Lakefield. Bravo to you, Kathleen Winter, and Linda Spalding – you were each wonderful. I thought your reading was brilliant, and as much as I loved reading The Empty Room – hearing you read made it even more powerful for me, and can assure you, your main character Colleen Kerrigan will stay with me for a long time. Look forward to seeing you back at the Lakefield Literary Festival with your next book! cheers, Francis
Thanks so much, Francis. I enjoyed myself so much — especially in the company of Douglas, Kathleen and Linda. I’m so pleased to hear you had a good time!
