The Dirty Dozen

I was asked by OPEN BOOK TORONTO to share 12 unexpected things about myself.  Here are the first three:

    1. I cook a really mean lamb tagine (and will share the recipe if you want it.)
    2. I have a secret crush on Vin Diesel. I also have a secret crush on Jeremy Irons. I think there’s nothing odd about having a crush on those two, albeit dissimilar, men.
    3. I believe in ghosts. Thus far, they’ve been fine company.

If you’d like to read the rest (hint — disappearing churches and natural anti-depressants), you can do so my clicking here.

Thanks very much!  And here’s a picture of Vin Diesel, just because:

What can I say?

    Great article interesting topic.

I chuckled over quite a few of your list items.

I hope you were able to see Jeremy Irons on this morning’s hour of The View. He was enchanting, as always. His voice is amazing. If you missed it, maybe it’s available on their website.

Your cell phone pet peeve is one of mine also. My cell phone is strictly for my emergencies, of which I hope I have none! It is always turned off.

The dreams that you have had repeatedly are fascinating.

Here’s a question. Do you think that one new dream, as you are dreaming it, somehow another dream can provide information for the newer dream. And all the while dreaming this interchange of dream facts, you know it’s all a dream. I woke up a few months ago and realized that I’d been having such a dream. What it was all about, I’ve no idea! Weird, huh?

Thanks for sharing though, always interesting, Lauren.

I’ve been meeting a lot of folks who love to read and always recommend your books and blog too.

Thanks, Wendy. As to dreams — well, I’m hardly qualified to tackle this one, but yes, I do thing our dreams can provide us with insight on many levels, and that dreams do work together. The subconscious is a vast web, I suspect. The rest, I shall leave to my analyst! 😉

Thanks for recommending my work, Wendy. I appreciate it.

dogs are definitely anti-depressants. the walking probably helps, but i think their patience to be in the moment, whatever the moment, helps even more.

Couldn’t agree more, Lisa. Bailey waves a paw.
