Even So… #3

What has this #? day in the plague brought?

In spite of everything, the dew on the grass this morning was cool as riverwater on my feet.

The crows yakked at me from the branches of the hemlock, and I yakked back, even so.

In spite of everything, two friends recovered from this…

I made a stew with everything left in the kitchen, and I think it will be good, even so.

In spite of everything, a friend took the time to send me a song that told me she cares about me.

My Best Beloved took a short nap in my arms, because the world exhausts us both and we revive each other, even so.

In spite of everything, I learned the St. John Cathedral in NYC is opening its doors to the sick, and I suspect it will become a place of healing on many levels.

And tonight, I will dance under the full moon, and try and see with her perspective, even so.

And you, my beloved… what has this day brought you, in spite of everything, and even so?

OMG-?so lovely and as I sit here listening to Gregorian chants and see the wintry mix falling I believe in my heart that for many of us this horror will be good. It’s hard to keep that thought for more than 3 seconds!

It is hard, Lynne. But those 3 seconds matter. They add up. xo
