Even So…#4
On day ? of the plague:
The full moon offered her silver energy to my open arms last night, even so.
Lightning lit up the sky in the witching hour, a display full of wonder, in spite of everything.
The bread didn’t rise, but thanks to a friend’s recipe, the tontons were delicious, even so.
The bluejays — the Gang of Five – are as raucous and wild as always, in spite of everything.
The garden grass is speckled with dandelions, first food for the bees, even so.
The lamb-like clouds float above the treetops, which are just washed with the first sweet green of spring, in spite of everything.
My neighbor delivers milk and eggs to me, even so.
And now, right now, at 5:47 pm, a sun shower turns the garden to prism and delight, and that is MORE than enough, in spite of everything.
Your words brought sparkle and magic to my anxious eyes, in spite of everything.
Birds began to sing their evening prayer, even so.
My heart re-members the beauty of RIGHT NOW,
And I am home again, in spite of everything.
THANK YOU!
Perfection, Judith. And a balm to my soul. Thank you.
